Ben isn't your typical 22 year old for sure, but he is sure close enough. He is sometimes arrogant and rowdy when living casually, but when on a misson, he will do anything to protect his friend. Unfortunatly, he has put himself in danger before more times that one for becoming too interested in these creatures. Overall, he is caring, loving and a passionate yound aduly, and sometimes thinks his whole job is just some major wind-up

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE ,
Toby continued to sprint at a decreasing pace in a desperate attempt to escape from the oncoming Megoptera. He quickly turned around, and saw the bug breathing down his neck. Trying to lose his predator, he halted his chase, his boots skidding across the dusty floor of the alleyway. The creature, which had little space to work with, thumped into Toby, bringing both prey and predator to the ground. As the bug crawled around on the ground, Toby rolled around and struggled back onto his feet, before crashing into the nearest buildings doorframe, intruding a barren house. He turned around and looked through the dusted windows of the door, and saw the bug engage it's flight and start to race towards him. He instinctively put both hands over his face in a defensive stance, and took a step back, preparing to brace the creatures onslaught as it crashed through the tainted windows adjacent to the rooting door. It crashed onto Toby, stabbing and scratching him with it's long mandibles and sharp legs. He rolled away, got up and swiftly sped up a set of crumbling stairs, which gave way to another, smaller, room. The creature followed him up the stairs, struggling due to the cramped space the bug had, and eyed Toby up, ready to strike. The Megoptera charged again, but Toby performed a narrow dodge just as the creature glanced into him, knocking him against a pile of wooden boxes. He examined the room, desperately trying to find some source of escape, when he saw a ladder projecting up into a trapdoor in the roof of the room.
Taking a long, deep, breath, he made his way to the ladder.
Toby clambered up the ladder desperately, pausing to look behind, and see the Megoptera thriving back onto its hind legs, and releasing a mouthful of spit onto Toby, before beginning it's decent onto the ladder, just as Toby clumsily released the hatch of the trap-door, letting the fresh air from the outside roof escape into his lungs. He made his way through the hatch, but was dragged back down by the bugs jaws enraptured over his foot. The pain was unbearable, and he let out a howl of distress, which probaly alerted every single god damn predator out there that prey was nearby. The mandibles dug deeper into his helpless flesh, as he let out his pain in the form of a exasperated sigh. Forcefully regaining his composure, he kicked the creature repeatedely with his other, stronger foot, forcing it to let go of his leg and crash back down to the ground floor of the building, giving him enough time to escape onto the roof.
What a view.
In all directions, mounds of earth had been seperated in the sky, much like those out of the hit film Avatar, except these ones had a base, which was inaccessible to Toby's peripheral vision due to the increasing amount of thick mist curling around the rocky outline of the islands nestled neatly into the sky. Some islands, like the one he was on now, where densely populated with the remains of the extinct human race, with derelict apartments, run-down cars and dying parks dotted about the former cities. Others, however, where nothing but large expanses of yellow grass, naked trees and the occasional collection of rocky outcrops, positioned around the larger, more hostile islands.
The view had distracted him, and before he knew it, the creature, which had somehow made it's way out onto the rooftop, lunged onto Toby's back, and he collapased in a heap, with the bug on top of him.
He kicked the beast off, and ran across to the end of the roof, where, for the second time today, he nearly fell off a rather steep drop. Looking around after balancing himself, he noticed hundreds of buildings all connected as far as he could see, so, like in the movies, he began to jump from rooftop to rooftop, as the snarling insect took flight and gained on him.
Two more bugs joined the assault from the side, and they raced in and about of his way, causing him to stumble, and trip on the next jump. He fell down to the bottom of an alley, hitting the ground hard on his now-throbbing arm. Meanwhile, the creatures surrounded him. Frantically, he turned around to start another chase, but found himself looking at a concrete wall, too high to climb over.
Turning around, he eyed the snarling, spitting beasts as they bit and snapped at eachover, every one of them wanting to feast on Toby first, lay their sharp, insect mandibles on his human flesh.
He was a goner...
The Megopteran's prowled towards Toby, almost teasing him by the way they bided their time, while fluttering their huge wings and releasing saliva, which frothed down their insect-mouth.
But, of course, it was only a matter of time.
The biggest of the three made a bloodthirsty dive, and collapsed on top of Toby. The bug raked its vicious legs across his torso, which left three deep gouges on his stomach, and claw marks split across his T-Shirt. The creature hesitated, and looked at every single delicious body-part of Toby's in anticipation, as the younger, weaker Megoptera waited to join in on the delicacy they had came across.
It was spoiled for choice, the twat.
Then, suddenely, a sharp whistle skimmed across the sky, and the creature slumped it's full body-weight on Toby, it's eyelids snapping shut as it nestled on Toby's body.
He pushed the corpse off, and looked up to see a heroic Marcey, waving her silencer pistol, ready to shoot if the creature's tried anything naughty.
They did, and one rushed towards Toby, while the other flew into Marcey.
Toby was knocked to the ground, again, while Marcey dropped her silencer as the bug lumbered into her. An old steel bin, knocked over, was positioned on Toby's right. He grasped the handle on the lid, and started repeatedely banging the Megoptera on the skull with his new weapon. The bug took a step back, startled that his food was reacting offensively, and stumbled onto it's back. Here Toby took advantage, by getting to his feet and pulling off a knock-out shot with the bin, causing the creature to doze out of consciousness, and rest it's head on the damp, stone floor.
Meanwhile, Marcey improvised and took out her knive as the creature attempted to bite, scratch, and claw her apart. She managed to lock it when the bug took a dive too far, and scraped the knive across it's hard, invertebrate back. The bug squealed, and clicked in protest, giving Marcey enough time to pick up her silencer gun and deliver two fatal shots to the creature's head and it's soft, penetrable abdomen, leaving three giant bugs, lying dead or unconscious on the ally-floor.
He grinned at Marcey.
"I feel a bit like a ninja..."
Marcey and Toby exited the alley, appearing in a abandoned car lot, fixated with tons of old, broken vehicles. Toby froze immediately when he saw another Megoptera down the road, feasting on something, which looked like a grey blur from where he was standing.
Marcey gasped in shock.
"Jesus... Is that a...?"
"Baby future predator? I think so..." Toby responded grimly.
He took a step forward, and despite himself, he couldn't resist appreciating the utter brilliance of the future insect. His admiration finished when he accidently stumbled, and the bug looked up, and flew towards him, intent on having something tastier than a baby superbat to munch on.
It was millimetres from ripping him apart when it fell to ground with a sickening thump, with a bullet wound enflicted on it's skull.
He turned to Marcey.
"Yeah, yeah. You had it covered, I know...!"
The cheek of her.
